General practice Residency

Alameda Health System offers a one-year general practice residency accredited by The Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association. This certificate program is designed to develop essential clinical skills, attitudes, judgment, and abilities related to the comprehensive practice of dentistry. The program is also structured to provide training in the management of medically, physically, and intellectually disabled patients in a hospital environment. In addition to comprehensive training in all disciplines of dentistry, our residents participate in restorative dentistry and oral surgical procedures in the operating room.

The General Practice Residency Program at Alameda Health System is housed at Highland Hospital in Oakland which is the only Level 1 trauma center for the East Bay.
